On the notes pages? Sure.

Choose View, Master, Notes Master. You can move the slide image and notes text placeholder anywhere you like on the page, resize them, etc.

This will affect how the speaker notes *print* ... John's suggestions relate to how they appear in the normal view as you're working on slides.

It's up to you to ignore one or the other of us.
