Freeform shape aligning with grid

The freeform shape drawing tool in earlier PPT versions would snap to grid, so shapes with true square corners could be quickly drawn. In 2007 I have not been able to do this, so drawing, for example, an irregular building outline becomes a tedious and steady-hand exercise. Any suggestions? Thanks.
